Hi, I'm Frank – the filmmaker, photographer, and creative behind Wild Collective.
Originally from South Africa, my wife and I made the move to New Zealand in 2019. We now call Riverton, Southland home, where we're raising our two daughters and are proud to call ourselves Kiwis.
Photography and filmmaking have been part of my life for more than 15 years. Before moving to New Zealand, my brother and I built a successful wedding and corporate production business in South Africa. Today, I continue doing what I love, capturing weddings, families, businesses, and brands across New Zealand.
My approach is relaxed, genuine, and storytelling-driven. I believe the best photos and films come from real moments, which is why I focus on making people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whether it's your wedding day, a family milestone, or a corporate project, my goal is to create timeless images and films you'll be proud to look back on for years to come.

From grass-roots
beginnings.
It all started with a backpack, a camera, and an unexpected opportunity.
While travelling through Malawi, I met a filmmaker creating a documentary with the most basic equipment. I offered to help, and somewhere during that experience, something clicked. That trip sparked a passion for storytelling through film and photography that has shaped my career ever since.
When I returned home to South Africa, I began filming and editing weddings and events, learning the craft through hands-on experience. After five years of honing my skills, my brother and I founded our own production company, Raising Flags, specialising in weddings and corporate films..
When my family and I moved to New Zealand in 2019, my brother continued running Raising Flags while I began building a new chapter. In 2025, Wild Collective was born—a business built on more than 15 years of experience, a love for authentic storytelling, and a passion for capturing life's most meaningful moments.
